pain! of selling a car you love..just sealed a deal, my car sold.

i just pulled a "onewhippedpuppy".

i bought a mazdaspeed3 from the heart. honestly, it was the test drive that got me. line, hook, sinker...i was sold! i got it home, and damn it if i didnt need a truck the very next day. (had to build chicken coop). the car is fast, nimble, very fun. but just didnt suit my lifestyle that much. i love the car, but put it up on CL, just to see what happens. well, what happens it that every toofasttoofurious fool shows up to ask "dude, it is fast?" i took it hunting once, and actually thanked the stars that i didnt shoot a hog!

well, one good buyer showed up. turns out i know the guy in passing. he is known for chasing down ferraris with his subaru legacy wagon. he brought his wife as this was to be her car. i took them to a local twisty, and got him in the seat...line, hook, sinker...
he picks it up monday.

not the first time i have thrown money out the window...i gotta learn..

new buyer already lined up a thunderhill trackday. it is in good hands.

You're in good company. So what's next, a truck?

Buyer's remorse? I have no idea what that is.

Throwing money out the window? You're speaking a foreign language.

BTDT, my friend.

Very, very sad! I love my MS3 and have 36k trouble-free miles on it. I just wish it wasn't black as it's impossible to keep clean. This car has been the most practical and fun daily driver I've ever owned.

I would only sell my 2007 MS3 to buy a 2010 MS3.

I actually miss my Audi A3. But the Subie is quicker and the seats more comfortable...

I miss the SC but don't miss the money flowing out to keep it running. I had a good run and the car is still racing with POC.

Recently sold my Bronco. Which was probably my favorite vehicle that I have owned. But I just couldnt justify keeping it and paying insurance on another vehicle. I was almost in tears when the guy drove away with it.

'67 Chevelle. Or "Malibu" as I liked to refer to her. Aqua green. 300-horse 327. Powerglide tranny. Air but no power brakes. Odd combo, but I was the second owner.
Drove her two years during high school. Man, was that a cool car.
Traded her off for a Harley chopper. If I'd only known then what I know now. I could replace that chopper, but to replace the '67 it would take more than I've got in my 911... and they're not that many running around anymore, not in that condition.

I'm going to drive my 2007 Mazdaspeed3 to the "Tail of the Dragon" this week. We have a 600 mile trip there, then 2 days to drive the 11 mile, 318 turn course, then 600 miles back. I'm getting new tires for the car tomorrow and I'm looking forward to driving the car on a challenging piece of road.
