Electronic Cigarette

What do you all make of this? I promised myself to start smoking again when I'm old and decrepit. After all why not?

2 guys at work have those things - they stopped smoking but now they are hooked on these. I kind of get a kick out of seeing them hit on em. They sell tons of accessories and attachments as well.

are they smug since "going green"?
i'll bet they won't like them in virginia and north carolina.

It'd probably be better if they didn't look like real cigarettes (why the yellow 'filter'?) and didn't give off visible smoke. Who wants to explain that it's not a real cigarette to people everywhere.

If I want a cigarette, I'll smoke one thanks.

You'd never see Chuck Norris with one of those things in his mouth. A babys arm maybe, but never a fake cigarette.

My mom has "NJoy" electronic cigarettes. She got the "deluxe" which look like cigarettes. There's no smoke from hers. You can get full nicotine, light and no/0 nicotine cartridges.

She smokes them inside the house and the car. She has brought them on a plane in carry-on baggage. I think they came with some sort of card to carry to show TSA folks that they were ok to bring on. She says she'll not use them in places that they'd really freak people out. She mostly uses them in the winter when it's too cold to go outside to smoke.

I had a college roommate who used to quite smoking, only to start chewing.

Then he'd quit chewing, only to start smoking...

Occasionally he'd get really serious and get on the patch for a while.

I used the patch to quit smoking - I was a heavy smoker so I used 2 :).

I tried teh Chantix stuff but it made me made crazy thoughts and dreams

My wife has one.

As mentioned, when you are puffin out what looks like smoke, people think it is smoke. You have to explain it over and over again. And there is a psychological factor... people will swear they can "smell the smoke" and/or that it is bothering their allergies. You think that a restaurant owner "can't" tell you no? (said in the video) Think again. Service is "at will" and if you are disturbing customers in a no-smoking area, you will likely be asked to stop or leave.

Use it at home. Don't expect to be accepted in public.

Whew, I thought I was the only person they chewed on babies arms.
