Yup. Mike built it himself in Wisconsin. An '87 with bomb proof SL tubing. I'm putting downtube shifters on it, too.
It has more war wounds than Custer during his last stand.

Damn it. Now I've got road bike envy. Wifey says no more spending on toys until I get rid of a few. Says I can't buy a steel road bike until I sell off a 911. Never! I guess I'll just have to get my old steel bike project off the ground instead of buying a new Sycip. In the meantime, I'll keep riding my high mileage REI Trionfo Al workhorse. It's about time for a new chain, cables and cassette.
