Curtis used to work with us up here at Paul Comp. I especially like what he's done with the Retrotec line. I'd have him build me one, but there's no way I could afford it! Great guy, too.

Well, it is not quite done, but here is my GT3 inspired road bike. Its pretty flat here so one fixed gear is all you need.

David

It is a torelli corsa pista frame, phil woods hubs and bottom bracket, mavic open pro ceramic wheels, chris king headset, sugino cranks, and egg beater pedals.

Things remaining to do: black brake, black brake lever, nokon cable housing, egg beater ti 2 pedals

I am really digging it.

I used to have a VaMoots and a PsyClo-X back it the day. Now the only Moots is my YBBeat that I'll never get rid of. My favorite frames by far. I also had a Davidson Stilleto (75 degree head angle) that I raced and a Davidson tandem that the first ex wife got in the divorce settlement. That one still cranks me off when I think about it...

Thanks -- fine now, just finishing up PT after a badly dislocated shoulder. I do have one more anecdote about why it is so important to ALWAYS wear a helmet -- mine worked.

It's about time for a new chain, cables and cassette.

Whenever your ready for that custom Sycip bike, email me and I'll give you a deal on it.

Lots of really nice bikes in this thread. Kudos, Pelican Cyclists!

Here's a few of my Merlin Cielo. I've had it for about three years and just love it. The craftsmanship is unreal. I think I'll own it forever.

I know this is a road bike thread but since it looks like we have a few Moots fans... here is a pic of one of my mountain bikes. Like the Merlin, it is another handmade bike (Steamboat Springs, CO) that just oozes quality. Fortunately it takes a ton of abuse and doesn't skip a beat. Hey, kinda like my 930!

Thanks Jon, I'll keep you in mind. I saw that Sycip was included in this month's Bicycling Mag article regarding custom bikes. Jeremy has made quite a name for himself.

Next time I'm riding in Sonoma, I'll look you up.
