WAH WAH WAH. a bunch of winers on this post.

If you don't like shipping it, hand carry it yourself and deliver the .44 cent letter. Or $10 box.

When you imagine the millions of packages each day, yes .001% will get screwed up.

just my 2 cents worth.

grins.

The cure for this frustrating scenario is to have stuff shipped to your work address... whether it's USPS or a private shipper. No having to go to the P.O. on your lunch hour and no package sitting on your front porch that could be stolen.

That is what I do. Every package comes to the office. The USPS has been one of the best for packages. The packages we get that are the most beat up are from UPS. The last package looked like they punted it over the truck, tied it to the bumper and drug it to our office.

FedEX managed to loose a roll of 44 inch x 100 ft long roll of paper. The box is 8 x 8 x 46 inches and they never did find it. Fortunately for us our supplier just shipped another roll and charged FedEx.

We have to ship our camera off for calibration every three years. The camera system is right at 600 lbs. FedEx ground comes and picks it up. We have shock sensors on the cases and they come back in great condition.

I shipped with the post office for 2 years before switching exclusively to Fed Ex. In that time they went from a 1% Lost/Destroyed/Mis-delivered rate to over 5%.
