Kid is really an adventurer. Not too many 19 y.o.'s I know would have the cojones to do this. If he doesn't wuss out and settle down I predict he will live a very full life.

I'll admit he has more cojones than me... I would consider going somewhere in the 944... But not on a bike... I am consider taking the 944 out to Cali and back through bonneville or something like that in the next few years... just have a few minor things that need taken care of first....

Hes an SOHC member and had this documented there as well. Skimmed through it but sounded like a blast.

Funny Brian...I was about to PM you with the link. Amazing he did this almost on a lark/spur of the moment. He didn't even have a tent...just a blue tarp and sleeping bag. I only see where he spent two nights in a hotel. No exotic goretex rain gear...a pair of skateboard shoes, 2 pairs of jeans, a leather jacket, a soup bowl helmet, goggles and a kerchief. Rarely ate in a restaraunt...subsisted off of canned sardines and the like. Buying himself a soda was an extravagant treat.

Ahhhh yute....wasted on the young.

I thought I had done OK riding the 2 stroke triple from jersey to Cape Cod and back, two-up with luggage.

I had a buddy with a 2 stroke triple Kawasaki, I would kill myself if I had a bike like that.

I liked his speedometer, the kid in the thread, not the Kawasaki.
