No tree, we aren't having one this year. Like it says, "no peeking"

I have a chair though.

If you draw my name next year, send me the chair. Is it an Emeco?

A little tinsel does wonders with even the plainest of chairs. Just don't glob it on. You have to seperate each individual strand to get the best results.
Or you could have it flocked.

No, bad idea. Don't do that.

OK, the verbal abuse, nasty comments about my chair and Porsche4life's tree have shamed me into decorating. This manger scene is Coffee Root hand carved by starving Nickies we bought our first time in Costa Rica, in the 80s. It's the Budda's birthday too so I got him in the picture. I try to be PC.

Slight threadjack: I went to medical school at USC, so we used LA County as our teaching hospital. The old County hospital (there's a new one, now) was full of authentic Emco chairs. Probably some sort of naval surplus. I didn't appreciate them for what they were at the time (though I thought they were surprisingly comfortable, despite their spartan looks). But because they looked so bare, nobody ever wanted them. They were always the last chair left in a room. I wonder where they all went when the new County hospital got built. Almost wish I had the presence of mind to have liberated a few of those for my garage. Or, apparently, this gift exchange.

I've been told the new County hospital was stocked with those Herman Miller Aeron chairs. Not repros, but real Herman Miller stuff. Of course, being a county hospital, they've all been abused and are in tatters, now.
