hilarity ensued

was walking home sunday about midnight. two cops were rousting a pack of homeless camping in the parking lot of yucca market. one of the beggars, on a bicycle, shouted "f--k you n-----r" at the cops and took off.

that 250lb black cop didn't look like he could run that fast. but he caught up to him across the street near the 7-11, shoved a night stick through the rear wheel, and then introduced mr. homeless guy's head to mr. boot.

made my evening.

Classic.........Had it coming......

sammyg2 01-05-2010 06:48 AM

I'm not one of those anti-cop guys, I like cops and support them. But based on the details provided, this cop needs to be fired and prosecuted.

Words are words. Nothing more, nothing less.
Violence and assault are not a justifiable response to freaking words. He had it coming? getting kicked and beat up for saying words? BS.
Sounds like this guy has a huge chip on his shoulder and is not responsible enough to be a cop. He makes the rest look bad.

jhynesrockmtn 01-05-2010 07:06 AM

Hilarious. Cop beats up a homeless guy who yelled something at him and who most likely is mentally ill and a US Veteran. He's a credit to the uniform.

i think downtown SF is homeless ground zero. i have seen the worst of humanity during my career working on SF bridges. effen condos to homeless people. the feces and regular filth, made me yearn for a bio-suit. i was low man on the "totem" pole, so i had to deal with alot of the crap in the early years. i have seen stuff that makes me want to blind my mind's eye.

well, we had a CHP guy (probably in the same crap position on his totem) that i would work with. his sole job was to run the homeless out, before i got there. i find them, call him, and he would move, and if need be, arrest them. he was young..and he wore down quick. he would mumble to himself...about, wishing they would authorize him to perform "mercy killings".

if i saw the above story, i would chuckle...back then.

everyone is more tolerant of the unfortuanate homeless people out there, unless they camp out in your front yard. i once woke up to two sleeping on my porch. their BO leaked into my bedroom.

billwagnon 01-05-2010 07:33 AM

that's mighty funny

God bless us every one!

Now wait a minute. If the black guy wouldn't have been a cop, most of you would have been screaming "Hate Crime". Words are just words right?

Could not agree more. In the Uk a vast number of homeless are people from the forces. Do their bit for the country and cant take being back home.

The guy says a few words and risks brain damage coming off a bike.

Ohh yeah hilarious

speeder 01-05-2010 09:31 AM

Wow, everyone defending the ass hole. There is something hilarious about the story and it's the fact that racists are ALWAYS cowards who shout "nigger" from a passing car or from behind a computer keyboard or while in a pack that out-numbers the recipient. This guy would never have said it if he was on foot, he thought that his bicycle could outrun shoe leather. Usually it would but he fk'ed up. It's kharma, instant-style.

Veteran? Doubt it. But if he was, so what in this case. You think that every one of the 8 billion people who ever joined the military are somehow decent human beings? Some deserve to be road-kill. I'll bet you a cheese burger that the cop served more honorably that Mr. brave drive-by nigger-yeller.

You really live in Hollywood proper there, Varmint.

kach22i 01-05-2010 09:34 AM

I think that it is a "had to be there" kind of story.

scottbombedout 01-05-2010 09:45 AM

So whats the difference to a guy calling a cop nigger to his face and then getting whacked with his night stick? Would that be acceptable?

creaturecat 01-05-2010 09:45 AM

If the guy had done that in Vancouver, he would probably be dead now. Shot or tazered, perhaps both.

varmint 01-05-2010 09:56 AM

that guy was not a veteran of any war on this planet.

he was one of the pack of losers who are drunk by ten every morning and **** on the sidewalk. the authorities usually have a far too tolerant approach to the homeless. but the two rapes last week have finally got them off their fat cop asses.

being stupid enough to call a cop "nigger" to his face means stupid enough to have a fifty page rap sheet. if the beat down had taken more than twenty seconds i would have got out my camera. the whole incident was over before i could react.

by the way, i am not a fan of the cops in this town. if i thought it was unjustified i would be screaming to high heaven.

McLovin 01-05-2010 10:11 AM

So if a black homeless man yells "Fcuk you you god damn white honkey piece of sht pig" to a white cop, it's ok for the white cop to administer a beat down?

Or is it only the "N" word delivered by a white guy to a black cop that give the license for a little police brutality?

I'd have thought that words like the F word, and even the N word, while certainly offensive, were constitutionally protected free speech, where in the constitution, or what court ruling, makes it not? Perhaps the constitution and freedom don't go as far as they used to in this country. certainly seems the direction we are heading.

Just trying to figure it out.

vash 01-05-2010 10:15 AM

what if the homeless was (fake)PETA, and instead of a cop, it was a (fake)leather wearing biker dude?

yelling anything negative at the wrong person, can have some dire consequences.

i know, apples and oranges..but would be interesting to cross reference the two threads.

I know, I know...back in the good old days, you could just call 'em niggers and no one said boo. I mean it's just the same thing as calling someone white, right?

Schit for brains.

I was going to say something to the people who don't know that locale. The "homeless" POS bums in that neighborhood are not some laid-off factory workers or such. They're more likely career criminals down on their luck and in between scores, definitely needing to get their drunk or fix on and more likely to be sociopath murderers than war heroes.

You'd hope law enforcement officers would have thicker skins and abide by the law.

i would hope. but this would only be true in a perfect world. (then there wouldnt even be any homeless people)

but cops, like the rest of the world comes in many many variations.

The Gaijin 01-05-2010 11:29 AM

If the homeless guy said "where is the bus to the shelter and I aint moving in the mean time" - few would defend a kick. But a personal insult has he is riding away - and too slow or stupid to actually get away - he basically had it coming.
