Yes, no talent. It explains why they've had a highly ranked TV show for years.
Man, the jealousy and haters you will find on the net....hehehe I think their bikes are absolutely gorgeous. |
I like watching Biker build off more then the OCC clownshow

Ummmm, Snipe, have you seen some of the crap that passes for TV these days?
There's probably better bike builders out there that keep a low profile, but I have respect for anyone that can make raw metal look like that. |
jersey shore is a popular tv show..... so by what you're those kids have talent?????

How can someone be 90% illegal? As in they're not american citizens but have lived here long enough to think they are? :D:rolleyes::D Dirty laundry sells on TV, the only reason OCC is on TV is for showing off the disfunctional family. http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1264201700.jpg |
NO i meant that 90% of the people working there were illegal
|
I'm sure Rusty understood, I hope anyway. It saddens me to here they used unskilled labor and illegals I had always thought better of them. I build things and have a great appreciation for what they do. I like Senior but Jr. can suck my @#$% form my A#$ what a whiny TOOL. It takes a lot of talent to produce these bikes and to belittle that is unfair.

that was one of the issues when they first built the new shop they used illegal labor and no contractors from the area even though they always preach that they help the community. |
Note to self, type slower and use smaller words for 924Sloafer to un-der-stand..........

Funny, but only on one level. And a low one at that. |
Ugh, i wouldn't eat that.

Liar! :) But maybe Dottore would....
Back on topic: I think the first bikes were impressive and original, the Spider Bike and the next few. After that it became a corporate schmooze-fest, a struggling alcoholic son, an prima-dona dick son, a steroid raging old man trying to ignore the effects of ageing, and a bunch of hourly employees. At some point the show jumped the shark. Maybe when they built the hideous space shuttle bike? |
Their workmanship is horrific. I have seen several of their bikes up close and the welding, cheesy cable routing and no general attention to detail is incredible. They are saved by a good painter who can mask many of the mistakes. I'll admit that some of the creative ideas are cool though not my cup of tea but I wouldn't ride on of those bikes around a parking lot. I used to build mountain bikes for Merlin and Fat City Cycles when they were around so I have an idea of what is possible.

I agreee....caricatures at best. Sure it's an artform and I suppose, is to be respected as such. But, just like a wall full of anus photos, not my cup of tea, but still considered "art" by many.
Anyone who actually owns a bike to ride it probably wouldn't find these creations to their liking. In this case, I count myself among them. |
I thought they auctioned off many of these bikes to charity. Why are they sitting in the OCC showroom?

Riding a chopper is all about a look, and an image. |
