Pissed at a Vendor

Back in 2004 I asked a vendor to change a product to take advantage of the new feature in a database product.

Fast forward to now, and I am finally beta testing the enhancements I requested. Now I was very clear in my original request what platform (mainframe) I wanted this to work on. This morning I just got confirmation from them that they only put the enhancements in the Windows version of the software.

So after FIVE YEARS of delays and waiting, I HAVE NOTHING.

I'm pretty pissed right now. They have a conference in Vegas in May, and I'll be telling my manager that she should approve my trip so that I can go there and slap some sense into them...

Nice, they obviously know better than you what you want/need.
