My wife has been home for about an hour. Been sitting on the couch for about 1/2 hour and so far and hasn't noticed it hanging.
So far, so good.

Every city I visit, I check to see if there is a Pollock on display. Now I suppose I'll have to visit Dipso.

Very true. In his later work - the poured, or "drip" paintings so many only know him by - he did use much the same material. That's where I came by my media.
In his early work, the work influenced by Thomas Hart Benton and David Siqueros (sp?) and other great Mexican muralists he used more "conventional" media.
Like Picasso (an incredible draftsman) Pollock had a painting career long before he came to the work that made him famous.

If she's sitting on the couch in those pix that's facing the TV/fireplace, you're dumber than you look if you think she hasn't noticed it.

If things go south you could repaint it that exotic beige on your walls, fireplace, TV surround, lightswitch plate, ceiling and chair. Keeping the fan a dark color would provide a pleasing contrast to enjoy while you sit in the chair getting a blow-job.

Pollack goes away, but then you have a Dipso "Beige on Beige" (an homage to Malevich's "White on White").

I think U should have painted it on BLACK VELVET...that would be befitting of your level of taste.

LOL! That was, for me, the most entertaining thread I've been involved with since being here. Can you dig up the thread stimulated by the dropping of an old Porsche from a crane? That's one of my other favorites.

Hey Dip! Check out the referenced thread - you'll no doubt find it interesting.

We asked them if they would give it to us if we bought a new one the same size. They thought we were nuts, but said "OK."

We cut it in half. I think Dennis stretched his and hung it, but I never did... I should do that.
The floor of the studio where Pollock worked in East Hampton is preserved under glass.
Very cool.
Julian Schnabel stretched old truck canvas and sold them for huge money.
Leonardo advised artists to stare at spit covered walls for inspiration.

Art is a funny thing.

Here is a large one that hangs in the Bedroom..by Claude Venard

BTW if one looks closely at the Bond picture "Dr No"..in one of the opening sequences where Bond is about to go into M's office a Venard is hanging on the wall.

Doh, Exact words about 30 seconds ago. " You know your gonna have to take that old nasty painting down".

Obviously, not a fan of fine art.

I'm sure that was great before Jesus was born. Nowadays, you can find that on any bank wall.
