I've always thought that Oddjob is a bright guy who intentionally uses a specific style in his online persona. There is more than one person here where that is the case...

Sidney, your link show's a very nice car. I wish I fit. the Sciroccos (sp) and Corrado's seem to be lacking in headroom for me, but I still love them. Very underrated IMHO.

Nope not Oddjob

How tall are you? I fit in the stock seat just fine with a helmet on... I'm just shy of 6ft...

Just over 6'. Seem's like the top of my head was always just touching the headliner. Tried the 78-79 Scirrocco and then the 85. Same thing on the Corrado, just lacking a little in the headroom. The GTI's seemed to fit just right. Did I miss something on the seat height adjustment?
I've owned a 78 Rabbit, 85 GTI and and 87(?) 16v GTI. Even had a 85 Scrrocco for a week, (doubled my money). The Rabbit/Golf seemed to have a little more headroom.
Very, good cars.

There is a lever you can pull on the front of the seat that allows you to raise and lower the rear of the seat... That might have done you some good. I keep mine on the floor all the time...

Please accept my condolences. I don't know if it it ever possible to de-Jesuitize someone, but I hear there are numerous and diverse support groups for it...

That was written by an intelligent educated adult male. The style is intended to emulate a person who should be taken with concern (alleged dangerous red-neck).

After all, no one would take seriously an educated well-spoken man clomping around in his Land's End shoes and all-wheel drive Volvo... But a redneck with mean dogs and a shot-gun, well holy cow, better watch yourself - LOL!

Best sign I have ever seen was one a old guy had at the end of his driveway out in the country..... A chunk of 1 X 6 with both ends broken, painted White many years ago, Red hand painted lettering that said "DOG BITE"

Clear and concise

By buddy lives in a somewhat rural area and his no trespassing sign made me think twice the first time I went to his home. At the end of a long dirt driveway it is a white sign with the image of a handgun in red and no words.
