Anyone live around Wiscasset Maine?
Hello. I am going to visit my Dad up there in a couple of weeks and was wondering if anyone could recommend a nice restaurant for dinner. Nothing too fancy but nice. American fare (steak, seafood) would be ideal. Also, they had booths that would be reat as well. My Dad had ALS (Lou Gehrig's) and the booths seem to be easier for him to sit on during dinner. He has lived in Maine for about 8 years now but just moved to Wiscasset from Jefferson over the summer.
Thanks, Chris

We moved away from Maine over 4 years ago (lived in Freeport). Didn't often get to Wiscasset, but when we did, we usually ate at Le Garage. You wil find more options in Bath, but not sure if you'd want to drive that far.

Chris: I live about 10 Miles out of Wiscasset, on Westport Island.
The Montsweag Roadhouse on route 1 just as you are entering Wiscasset from the south end, booths, nice bar, and good american staple type food and decent sea food reasonable prices. The booths are not very comfortable though. Le Garage seems to me to be a bit pricy for the quality of the food, and I do not remember any booths. Enjoy your Dinner and your Visit... Dana..... |
