Quick question about Automatic Watch Winders

I'm looking at a Watch Winder (ChronoShark deal of the day). Seems like a good deal but I know nothing about winders. A few of the high dollar places say you need multiple motion and timed on/off to protect the watch from uneven wear or over-winding. The one I'm looking at only rotates clockwise/counter clockwise and as far as I can tell it just goes constantly.
So, is a winder for $200 really better than the one for $39 or is this just marketing?

What watches will you use on the winder? Some watches wind unidirectioanlly, others bidirectionally. If its a watch that winds unidirectionally you may not get full wind with a bidirectional winder. Generally the winder boxes have an online chart to see.

Joe, that winder has been on chronoshark several times. I got one a while back and am pleased with it. It seems to be multi-orbital and has all kinds of timing options. you can't go wrong IMHO for $39. You cannot match that price anywhere.

Best,
Tom

Good point Damiam. I have a 35 yr old Citizen and have thought about buying a newer Auto. Thanks for the reply Tom. I figured I couldn't go too bad for $39 but thought I would check first. ChronoShark and InvictaShark seem to have some killer deals.
