Why?

I think that's a Zeintop....I think they're pretty cool

I beg to differ. I think it looks like someone tried to make a Cayman out of a boxster. I've said it before and I'll say it again - there's a reason Porsche pays designers handsomely for their work.

I would't do that but I don't think it looks bad. I would rather just buy the Cayman.

TGTIW 03-07-2010 08:04 AM

That was kind of my point. Isn't a Boxter hardtop a Cayman? And the rear 3/4 on that one pictured is hideous.

Embraer 03-07-2010 08:42 AM

yeah....but this is still removable, unlike a Cayman. it's not permanently attached, and it just has a couple of fasteners to undo (like my old Parrish Plastics hardtop on my TR4)

If I had a Boxster, I'd consider this for temporary winter duty. It looks better than the factory hardtop, IMO

Embraer 03-07-2010 08:43 AM

keep in mind, a 986 boxster, plus this hardtop can be had for 50% of the price of a Cayman.

it is what it is, i think it's kind of cool
