Have you ever towed w/Toyota Sequoia?

I'm looking for an SUV to pull a 2-horse trailer, usually with one horse in it. Not sure how heavy the trailer is, but it's big enough to need a trailer brake.

I've pulled it several times with an 03 Expedition 5.4L and it's ok, but steep hills burdens the engine a bit.

Knowing that the toy's towing capacity is quite a bit lower, how horrible will it be to tow with it? I'll only use it 10x/per year to tow the horse, other times as a DD and trailing the motorcycles.

Thanks..Jack

What year?
If it's a 2007 or later, it should be a very good tow vehicle. It's based on the tundra platform and my old 2007 tundra could two over 10,000 lubs. The new sequoia is rated at 7300 lbs towing capacity.

The most I ever towed with my tundra was probably closer to 6500 lbs but it did it easily. once up to speed it was almost like the trailer wasn't even back there.

On the older tundras the brakes were not up to really heavy towing IMO.

I towed my 930 on a U-haul trailer with a 2006 model, no problem even on hills. As stated the newer versions have a higher capacity.

It's an 04 with stated TC at 6500lbs. The horse trailer is steel, so it's a beast. Leaning back to the Expedition and appreciate the comments...J

It tows fine. I towed my 911 on a trailed open trailer for 2 years with a 2003 sequoia. No issues. The car got pretty bad gas milage and towing made it worse. 4 speed automatic was a bit outdated. Steady platform ands solid ride.
