Elliott New This veteran outfit makes all the right moves, navigating swing, jump blues and plain low-down and dirty with grace and chops. Blues Access Magazine Untouchables Reviews |
They are a band from this area, a far cry from the others thjat have come from here..
|
They suck... IMHO....
|
Don't listen to them much......
However the other week I was watching "the daily habit" on the fuel channel and caught "we were promised jetpacks" and I have to say they are my new favorite band......have a handfull of songs I recorded off sirius faction, good stuff...... I have had "rise against" in my cd player for a few months now......I've been listening to them for a few years...... |
My 13 year old daughter has been turning me on to bands she likes. RJA isn't my favorite, but not bad either. Have you ever heard the band "Muse"? A couple of very, very good tunes on the album she has.
Last night on the way back from dinner, we put "Three Days Grace" in the CD player in the truck for the drive home. I found myself cranking it up all on my own. Some really good stuff (and some bad...but the "skip" button works fine). At 51, I'm turning into a 13 year old I guess. It's new rock-n-roll with a heavy metal edge, but not the full monty....and much of it is very good. Edit: Another one is Tokio Hotel. Had never heard of them before she found them, but come to find out they're pretty big in Europe (German band) and have growing popularity here. Also might be worth a listen. |
Wait until she gets into SOAD or Dropkick Murphys- then you'll start driving with the windows down again.
