Bmw z8
A customer of mine just bought a Z8.
He brought it by to show me today, and a ll I can say is wow. This car impressed me more than anything I have looked at in the last 15 years. He wanted to let me take it out for a spin, but I was filthy from the days work, and did not dare try to climb in over that beige leather. Have any of you guys seen one of these in person yet?? It is truly stunning, and one of the most beautiful automobiles I have ever seen. Sort of looks ferrari like, but has many 50's bmw styling hues. And an M5 drive line to boot , what is not to like? |
I've seen a few in person. I agree, rather nice looking.
I somehow recall the suspension not being of the same level as the looks, however. |
saw one get rear-ended by a soccer mom/suv/cellphone combo. i love the looks....the 507 really shows in it
Totally agree. Looks more Italian than German, which is probably why they stopped making it.
They are beutiful. Sewickley has one on the floor if you want one. I have heard they are hard to keep in align. Something to do with the aluminum structure not being strong enough around the strut towers.
I have seen the Z8 end up on many top ten cars. It really is the ultimate convertable.
Yep, classic.
I was driving my wife's M Roadster and pulled into a parking lot behind a Z8 last fall, the older woman (cougar) got out as I was slowly turning the corner, I said "That's a beautiful car", she said "I like yours too........ but I like mine better. :)" And we both shared a good laugh over that one. |

Beautiful car. Great looks. Good performance. Hand made, IIRC. It's always a bit of a treat when the Z8 guys show up for our local Supercar Sunday.
Rear end from certain angles reminds me of an E-type.
I always liked 'em - unlike its Bangle-designed siblings (or bastard cousins, more like).

Stunning cars, BMW has promised spare parts for them for 50 years, I read.
Pretty, but overpriced IMHO. Personally I'd rather have an 850 - and that's one that's realistically affordable.
they sure are good looking.
I've seen plenty of them in person. Neil Peart from Rush drives one and wrote about it in one of his books, in which he took it from LA to Big Bend Nat. Park and back.
very pretty but it's too bad the engine is in the wrong place
Its a sexy beast baby!
