That car is really something! I'm envious you can license that there - not a chance in hell that would ever legally see the street here :(
|
So what is the frame? Front axle? Discs up front? Model A? Home built? Inquiring minds wanna know. And the roof is ingenious! More pics please...and how 'bout some interior shots...
|
you are a very lucky man john . enjoy every minute of life from now on, they are a gift.
|

Love the tractor seat bottoms on that Lamborghini:D
|
homebuilt box tube frame, suicide front axle, front discs, rear drum, 305 sb/auto. just recovered bench seat with vynyl which now has burn holes from mig welding brackets on inside roof for lexan tinted windows when not in use. and added some antique wrought iron trim and brass bedrails made from keel coolers that's been under an offshore boat for 30yr.

Cool you coon-ass. I'm glad to hear from you. You still owe me an honorary "coon ass" T-Shirt for a pale, soft hands, Californian drinking your ass under the table. Glad to hear you're OK. I assume your OK with the cancer thing. I met Johnco on the film "Deja Vu" which we shot in Louisiana his hospitality was first rate. He makes a world-class deep fried turkey and moonshine I mean really, really first class.

Must be the shine that fosters such creativity...:D

John, I know it was a freak occurence from what the truck driver said, but it wouldn't hurt to paint your tailgate bright yellow with red or black 6 inch wide diagonal stripes and put some extra bright LED tail lights on it.
A bright, pulsating LED display in the back window wouldn't hurt, either. Make the back of that thing look like the grand opening of a new barbeque joint. :) BTW, the truck driver may have been lying... he could have been messing with his cell phone and just didn't want to admit it. |
buy a lottery ticket my friend; asap!
good to hear you're alright. |
When I saw the title to the thread, I thought you were in Amsterdam and that there would be pictures.....
Glad to hear you are OK. |
This accident killed four bikers and happened right in front of my gym two weeks ago.
Driver in fatal Phoenix motorcycle crash booked on 4 manslaughter counts Eric Coffey was on his way over to do some wrenching and was routed quite a ways around to get to my house. I still ride through this intersection twice a day and it's a real downer to see that stained pavement below my feet. I really keep an eye on my mirrors now when stopped at a light. I've been rear-ended hard three times in three years in cars. |
all traffic running east/west for a couple hundred miles travel this highway. it's the only main road. there's wrecks monthly/weekly, sometimes daily at this redlight and the next 2 in about an 8 mile stretch with people running redlights. it just happened to be the day I was almost in one. many years ago I almost caused a wreck after my tierod broke and lost all steering at that same spot. fun time..
|
John, that is one cool rat rod. But what are "keel coolers?"
|
it's a type of external radiators run under the boat for the main engines. the old types like the ones I used were brass tubes about 6ft long run in series. other types are channel iron or 1/2 pipes welded along the hull under the water line. my friend that runs a fleet of boats gave me a bunch of old brass tubes he had replaced
|
Door handles are cool...what is the coiled copper line and bottle up near the radiator?
|
door handles are antique porcelian house door knobs. I have a clear glass door knob for shifter knob and also air vent pull. the coiled copper tube and whiskey bottle are the overflow bottle for the radiator.

a mobile still outside would draw too much attention to the mobile meth lab inside

I love it! It would be a hoot to own and drive that. How do you not get a ticket without it being registered? If it is, what class? and most importantly, how would one go about the process of building one of these? I guess a visit to your friendly neighborhood junkyard for starters but there must be some sort of very loose guidelines?
I bet this could make for a pretty cool project. Our Son is a boyscout and will soon be working on a merit badge for auto mechanics - might be just the thing! |
