Gardening question, mushroom invasion.

I recently planted a lawn and six weeks into the project, I noticed a huge number of mushrooms growing with the grass.
Anyone ever seen this? Can I fix it without an artificial / chemical fungicide?

Yes. No. Did you put compost, mulch, topsoil, wood chips or fill before seeding? If so, the 'shrooms will probably diminish over time. The spores were probably in the compost, etc. Once you find out what species they are you can change the pH not to their liking and they will go away. Most likely you will water the grass less as it fills in which may also help. Take a bite out of one and let us know how long it takes to see the beautiful colors!

Stop fertilizing it, cut back the water, rake back what you can and add some lime pellets.

Not putting miles on your car is like not having sex with your girlfriend, so she'll be more desirable to her next boyfriend.

Then you'll never have to worry about your lawn again. You'll have the best mudpit in the neighborhood!!

It has been pretty damp here the last couple of months. Don't water after 8 AM and only sprinkle it when you do. Mark Henry is right about the water. It looks like a swamp from the pictures, but is easily fixed.

Too much water seems to be the consensus so I'll cut back and watch what happens. Thanks

Alice doesn't live here anymore......
It was a trip when she did. She was a liberal poet from NY and the way her mind worked, she might just as well been talking to a caterpillar sucking on a hookah.
Like any other liberal, it was really fun to wind her up and watch her spin.

Back on topic:
Ever since I decided to stop watering we have had non stop rain.....go figure?
