I had a pair of wrens nest in my screened in porch a couple of weeks back (the door is always open for the dogs). When the babies fledged, it was killing me that they were confused about getting out through the screen, so I very carefully moved them out of the porch into the yard. They were smaller than a golf ball with tails that were only 1/4" or so.
