I'm 45 but I don't feel old.
I feel like I did when I was in my 20s... The divorce and raising my kids on my own has taken a toll but I still feel good. Maybe I don't look as good as I feel... ;) I heard something the other day... "60 is the new 40" What does that mean? Do we have to work 20 extra years to get to the same place our parents did at 40? :( |

I turned 50 last month. I really wan't looking forward to it at all. Turns out, it wasn't that bad.
I still think about the same- and not much different than when I was in my 20s. I thought 20 year old women were hot and still do. The difference is- then I was just a horney kid, now I am a dirty old man;) |
40? Rookie! I often say "With age comes wisdom and not a whole heck of a lot else"
Age is a lot like wealth. It is all relative to where you are at. What is over the top spending is dependant on how much you spend. Likewise, when you were 13, 25 seemed like old people. Now... Well in the meantime, many happy returns. |
40 is the old age of youth, and the youth of old age.
In time you will know exactly what I am saying. |

Fred,
Just remember to roll Mr. Johnson in poli-grip, then lightly dust it with metamucil before using. Everything will be fine after that... :) |

But the band is still good! |
I am hitting 50 on Monday (5/10), although I don't feel or act it (whatever that means). I keep telling my wife I will go from 14 year-old boy to dirty old man and she won't be able to tell the difference.

Age is over rated --my outsides aint so young -but inside I feel same way as I did at 18 - 28-38-48 etc.
OK maybe the music aint so hot (my old man said the same thing) Hate to say but cars are better today than in the hey day of muscle (maybe a little less character though) and ya I like women more in their 30s -40s -- the youth culture thing is way over rated. but it is one heck of a ride (I know I am lucky I married a genetically blessed woman). So 40 is maybe half way home --If its ticken -keep kickin Mflo |
I hate that saying "you're only as old as you feel". If that's the case I died a few years back!!
Now you're only as old as you act, THAT I can I can live with. Grow old, but don't grow up!! While we're on the subject, has anyone else noticed that they're building floors lower than they used to? I can barely reach the floor when I bend over now :D |
I also hate that saying you're only as old as you feel... after all of my injuries most of my joints crack, don't work right, get sore, even one that isn't at the right angle, etc........the things is I'm only 22 i cant imagine what life will be like at say 30

I demand a recount!! :D

The thing is, no one ever feels young because any age you are is the oldest you've ever been. Only in hind sight do you realise how young you were. That said, 40 is freaking young. Unless you have terrible genes and/or really abused yourself, a man should feel and look fantastic at 40. I'm 50 and just barely slowing down from my peak, physically. At 40, I could fk like an escaped mental patient and pedal a bicycle to the moon and back.
