Anyone in Topeka Kansas?
 

I also posted this on Rennlist, so please ignore if I have already taken your time.

I just "moved" to Topeka to work in the technical department at SCCA.... Anyone out here? I'm looking to rent a small house with a garage, any help would be appreciated. Decent affordable places are much more scarce out here than I anticipated!

Anyone in Kansas?

Pelicans are pretty scarce in these parts. I've heard that Topeka can be an expensive place to live, especially somewhere nice. It's worth the money though, many of the cheap areas aren't particularly safe.

Come on up to the Great Plains Region Club Race June 5th and 6th in Hastings, Nebraska if you need to get away for a weekend--several Pelicans up here. Baby Dolls is fun in Topeka if you havent already been there....

Expensive in Kansas? Like what, $1.29 for a 3,000 sq. ft. house?

You guys were right... still not found a place yet, it seems like all the "cheap housing" that people rave about is in a place that is not very welcoming! I still have some time to look around. As far as June 6th, I may try to come out that way, but I may also be going to an SCCA club race that weekend for work.

I live in Lawrence, but I work in Topeka. I can help. Do not move to Topeka! It's colloquially known a "s***hole".

Lawrence is a much better town. It's worth the drive.
