I don't care if it's real or not (I suspect it's not- lol), it's one heck of a photograph, and something anyone living in bear country could find themselves facing without warning, on any given day.
|
I say thats lunch for that bear!
|
It looks like a professionally staged photo with actresses and a trained bear to me, but it's hard to believe anyone would be reckless enough to take such photos with kids.
|
I like the picture. I wonder if it's a blend of two shots taken at the same location?

Nobody with kids would think that's real. (They'd have run long ago). It's cool though.

It is not even good photoshop. Look at the tree in front of the bears nose. Follow it down to the grass. Does that look real to you? Notice the grass blades just to the left. It is an obvoius clone tool. The pattern of grass is the same. There is a tree stump where the tree should be. It is a bad fake.

I see several places where it's probably stitched together... I don't think it's a bad Photoshop... all it has to do to be decent is for it to be able to fool 90% of the people that see it, IMO.
Regardless, Bill... I feel the same way about "bear country" as you feel about the ocean. You will never find me hiking up in the great Northwest, Canada, or Alaska. I would rather face any critter on earth that a bigazz hungry or angry bear... I don't care what the "experts" say about making noise as you walk down a trail so you don't surprise 'em. |
