Coming to Santa Monica next week. Anyone up for a Pelican Meet?
Hey guys,
Will be in Santa Monica next week, from Monday to Wednesday (you figure it out) so if anyone has the time and wants to get together, lets do it. Not sure where we are staying but believe it will be pretty close to the airport. Might have wheels, not sure just yet. Tuesday appears to be the best night right now.... Joe A

I thought that CA blocked off everyone from AZ . . .unless they are illegal, of course.

I work in Santa Monica right near the SaMo airport -- would love to meet up if schedules permit.
I hope you're prepared to see thousands of Priuses peppered with 0bama stickers...

Depends on what you want - food, drink, how many people, etc.
Tuesday I can join up after my son's piano lesson. This place is pretty cool, but is a little north of where Joe is staying. Renee's Courtyard Cafe - Santa Monica - Santa Monica, CA |

I'm probably in. I'd love to finally meet Dr. Phil. I think I'm good for Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday!
There is a little place at the base of SM Pier we met once, actually pretty much under the Pier. Denis, do you remember the name where we met with Rick Lee and others? Beer and burger joint.

about 1 mile from 4th is a good gin mill called Chaya. It's 1 block N of Rose
about 1/8 mi is Hotel Victory Go to Pico to Ocean. Make right on Ocean. It probably still doesn't have a sign. Decent after 6PM, and becomes a hot spot after 10PM last mill close by.. From Pico walk towards the beach. The last street before the ocean make a left and on the corner is another hotel called Casa del Mar. Go in past the lobby to the bar and restaurant. It's a 1st class place that digs in after 7PM and by 10-11PM the nightingales come out don't let your meat loaf

I dunno, I think we could do better than that place. There are a boatload of pubs within walking distance of where Joe is staying. Since I don't hang-out in Santa Monica much, I'd have to defer to someone from the west side for particulars.
