When does the AT&T data plan change go into affect? Are we grandfathered in to unlimited data or will they just bump our bill?

Software: Any windows mobile/Windows CE applications will work, which is millions of applications. Only looking at Windows Marketplace is pretty slanted
Web browser: IE is installed, but the primary browser is Opera
Tethering: It is built in, so the real answer is Yes.

Multitasking, Tethering, etc, Apple is catching/caught up.

I have no doubt that the new iPhone will prove to be an incredible device, it just has a lot of competition and it is not even close to being as much a game changer as the original.

If you already have an unlimited data plan you keep it at the same price, even if you upgrade to the iPhone 4.

hilarious, it beats the old "thinnest smart phone" by a whopping .7mm. I always laugh at the ridiculous "advances" that Apple makes when there has almost always been other manufactures doing it way before Apple did. A removable battery, a non proprietary connector, micro SD, support for bluetooth beyond just a headset would all be nice and something that pretty much ANY other cellphone has had for a couple of years now.

I like Apple, I have an iphone and 3 ipods, but sometimes

I thought the iPhone could do A2DP now. Is this not the case?

sync by bluetooth is what I would like, I shouldnt need an archaic cable to sync contacts and music. I was used to simply walking into my office, the phone would automatically connect and sync up my contacts, calendars etc. A BT keyboard would be nice to, I used to use one with my N95 and it was great.

I just watched the video, it looks okay, nice that they put in a larger battery as its what most iphone users complain about. I dont understand why you would need to be on wifi for video calling. 3G HSDPA is more than capable of video calling and having to be on Wifi is limiting to say the least.

Why Apple WHY????

OK, I understand the Bluetooth issue, now. WM will synch over bluetooth, but it is much slower than a cable. If setup properly, it will synch over Wifi, which is very fast. This shouldn't a problem with the iPhone, should only be a software "app".

-reply to Sids post -

hmm could be, 600k of the first million sold went to the US but I bet other markets are coming up quickly The US had a bit of head start. I just dont know how much clout ATT would have, I have heard first hand that negotiations with Apple is pretty much a take it or leave it affair. I dont know that Apple would listen to a lowly carrier and make changes to their product.

older 3G and 3Gs folks will get the software upgrade for free, just no new camera/battery

Is there a program for the iPhone that can enable it to perform like a Garmin 305 for cycling; i.e. heart rates, incline measurement, speed, GPS, etc?
