Porsche Police Cars
There is just something about these cars that I truely love! Maybe its that fact that a police department will take a fine auto and use it to catch bad guys is the ultimate cool thing. I don't know...maybe I just like flashing lights.

I personally find it highly irresponsible that a department would spend that much tax money on a single car.

Calm down Snipe. They are likely donated.....at least that has happened in the past. A rolling billboard.

German Police are using Techart Porsches... and they know how to drive them too.
I especially like the black and white POLIS longhood. And the Caparo?? Publicity stunt, I guess.

The blue and silver one (2nd pic) is labeled "seized" in big letters across the windshield. I'm sure they do that to silence the nay-sayers, and also as a message to those who may own such cars through illicit means.

'bout the "seized" car...
Who the heck would put those wheels on a first edition 996???? ![]() That car needed to be seized, just for that. "STEP AWAY FROM THE VEHICLE, SIR! YOU ARE SENTENCED TO DRIVE A PINK AZTEK!"

From days long gone, I remember them very vividly though, both in Holland and Belgium.

I would like to see them put a bad guy in the back seat. =) That may be punishment in and of itself.

Porsche squad cars would be a pretty good recruitment tool. I recall a couple CHP officers who couldn't wait to get into the new Camaro back when they first rolled out here in Cali. but then six months later they were crying the blues 'cause the seats in those things sucked.

Lovely pics!
I suppose it just goes to show that German police officers are better equipped than their transatlantic brethren, as they obviously have faster cars too.
