I am really not sure that I would go bunny hunting with a pistol, would prefer a small caliber rifle.

Here I am a few hours ago massaging a new trigger for Eric Coffey's Kimber. I sure am glad I didn't decide to become a gunsmith. We spent many hours today trying to figure out stupid, easy stuff. Blind leading the blind. Luckily, I had two other 1911's laying around to take apart and compare.

The CZ's trigger is not the best around but I'll let it wear in. I certainly DO NOT TRUST myself to pull it to bits and get it back together again.

I love the CZ. I bought a 75B as my first because it was cheap and folks seemed to like them. It had become my favorite when it comes to construction. Really! It's built better IMO than my SA 1911 that costed twice as much. I had to send my SA back to the factory before it met my expectations, and I still think the CZ is better....without any trips to the factory or a smith.

CZ-75's are nice pistols. Very high capacity. My brother recently sold his, it was 20+1.

Thanks guys. I shot in a 50 meter comp on Sunday and did reasonably well. The other guys were quite suprised LOL as they know I've only had a .22 pistol up 'til now. I like having a 9mm as the reloading components are cheap and there is plenty of knowlegde around on what sort of loads to do. I'm going to get into IPSC with it.

With the top loads in 9mm your ballistics can easily match any of the "reduced recoil defense" .357 magnum loads on the market.

Doubletap 115gr bonded core JHP Gold Dot +P: 1425 fps, 515 fpe of energy.

Cor Bon 115gr Sierra JHP +P: 1400fps, 500 fpe of energy (I have a decent stockpile of these in case TSTHF)

Doubletap 124gr bonded core JHP God Dot +P: 1310fps, 490 fpe of energy. (To me this is the top 9mm load available)

Cor Bon PowrBall 100gr JHP +P: 1475fps, 485 fpe of energy (My actual daily carry load)

These specific cartridges all exceed typical 110gr .357 magnum factory loads in raw energy. There are many other loads in 9mm that are in the ballpark energy levels as well.

For trail defense Doubletap 147gr TMJ-FN+P offers 1150fps, 420fpe and 40"+ penetration in calibrated ballistics gelatin.

Nice. I have been eyeing the SP01 flavored CZ-75 as of late. Seems like one of the best values out there.
