Snow-Motor - I see Water Applications for this one Kach22!
My nephew had a toy that was built on the same concept. I think with modern materials and the right motor this thing could be a blast!

It does look like fun, seen videos of it a couple of years ago.
However without an American middle-class, toys like this will stay things of the past. The hard question is: what problem does it solve? |

The general boredom and expense with typical amphibious craft? If done right, this thing could run on water, land, snow, ice, marshland, swamps...

A friend of mine has been trying to pay me to design and build one of these for his company. He wants a small one to use on lime lagoon dewatering projects. These amphirol type machines can drive over sludge to roughen up the surface to aid in evaporation.
My buddies company gets paid to empty city water treatment lime lagoons, but when the lagoons are too wet, they cannot get out on them with their wide track dozers to push matl to the sides for removal with excavators.
