Anyone have a 997 with young children?
Just wondering if this is even possible with car seats. Thinking about trading my truck in and the 997 would be my DD. Thanks

If you can't find car seats to fit the rear, Porsche makes car $eat$ specific for 911s. No FHE with 997s, but I've seen it in 996s.

Hey, I grew up in a 356 w/ no belts in back, lap only in front, and no car seats....
I could actually get my daughters forward facing seat in the front of the 356 better and easier than I could get it in our minivan or my altima. Used it as a DD from when she was 3 and 4...

The Porsche child seat that fits in the 996 will fit in the 997. My wife uses the 996 carseat in her 997 to haul the grandkid around.

The guys on the rennlist 997 board have several threads on this. Some have found alternative options to the porsche seat that fits.

plenty of seats that fit in the back of aircooled 911s, H2o cars have even bigger rear seats, I'm sure there are plenty of reasonable options, check out the Cosco line, perfect fit in my 964.

Not so with cars of my generation. My 72 911 has much more space in the back seat than a 996, whether it's for storage or for people.

Check out the 2 kid car seats in this 996. Talk about your e-ticket ride for the kids. (if you do not know the term "e-ticket" - ask your parents)

Not to be snobby, but how many people old enough to have kids and affluent enough to look at a thread about 997s would NOT be familiar with the E-ticket reference?

Just measure the seat bottom then go to Baby-R-Us or similar. You can pretty easily find seats with a narrow base that will fit. Or your kid can ride in style with a Porsche or Recaro child seat. My kids liked the back of my 996.

Only a couple times as a kid. I did google the term, but I was wondering if it was something beyond the Disney reference. Cheers.
