ATTN: Electric Vehicle Charging Companies RE:battery patents
To: All American companies seeking to impliment a network of battery-switching stations.
Regarding: Patent rights held under: - #20100112843 Heichal; Yoav; (Ganey Yehuda, IL) ; Agassi; Tal; (Hod Hasaron, IL) ; Agassi; Shai; (Palo Alto, CA) - #20100071979 Heichal; Yoav; (Ganey Yehuda, IL) ; Agassi; Tal; (Hod Hasaron, IL) - #20100141206 Agassi; Shai; (Palo Alto, CA) ; Heichal; Yoav; (Ganey Yehuda, IL) You may refer to this thread for future reference. This contains evidence of previous concepts published in the public realm. 1). I recently read the July/Aug Smithsonian 40th anniversary edition, and was amazed at the p.36 article, where the first two pages were dedicated to Mr. Agassi's "flash of genius" regarding swap-able battery packs at charging stations and/or gas stations. The article made reference to his self-written patent notes during "the middle of 2007" of "batteries consumable. They're like oil, not part of the car". 2). Out of curiousity, I researched the USPTO today, and found three patents dedicated to the concept: -http://appft1.uspto.gov/netacgi/nph-Parser?Sect1=PTO2&Sect2=HITOFF&p=1&u=%2Fnetahtml%2FPTO%2Fsearch-bool.html&r=2&f=G&l=50&co1=AND&d=PG01&s1=agassi.IN.&OS=IN/agassi&RS=IN/agassi -http://appft1.uspto.gov/netacgi/nph-Parser?Sect1=PTO2&Sect2=HITOFF&p=1&u=%2Fnetahtml%2FPTO%2Fsearch-bool.html&r=4&f=G&l=50&co1=AND&d=PG01&s1=agassi.IN.&OS=IN/agassi&RS=IN/agassi -http://appft1.uspto.gov/netacgi/nph-Parser?Sect1=PTO2&Sect2=HITOFF&p=1&u=%2Fnetahtml%2FPTO%2Fsearch-bool.html&r=1&f=G&l=50&co1=AND&d=PG01&s1=agassi.IN.&OS=IN/agassi&RS=IN/agassi 3). Please be aware that previous to and around "the middle of 2007", I have publically posted this concept on the internet several times, and it should be considered to be in the public realm of fair usage, not held by a sole individual or company. Posted 10-20-2007, 12:32 PM As a personal note in conclusion: I wish Mr. Agassi all the best in helping to develop a more efficient and environmentally-friendly world, and am enamoured of his efforts and successes. However, a foreign company should not have patent-squatting rights which could inhibit the same and/or drain financial resources through patent-rights claims here in the U.S.A. |

John,
There are some amazing minds working on this as we speak. I am not really sure what I can say without getting in trouble, and frankly the technology is well over my head. I wish I could speak intelligently about this topic, but I just can't. Dad peep up! An old article, but still a goodie.
