This is the same state (and I think the only one) that has people pump your fuel - full service. I heard it is because the Mob Bosses didn't want their Mothers to have to pump their own fuel!?!

In Tejas, we have cameras that take pics and then the toll authority bills you. Pretty cost effective - but I guess in NJ it would infringe on your civil liberties?

Oregon also prohibits self-serve. They allow you to pump your own fuel in a motorcycle and I've always gotten cooperation for them to "let" me pump fuel into the spyder (many ways to screw this one up). Technically, we can also pump our own diesel as the flashpoint is pretty high.

But in general, no self serve gasoline in Oregon.
