Never been on TV before. It was for our son who is hearing impaired. He is the one with red hearing aids and chocolate on his mouth.

The Castle program is affiliated with UNC, so they do get some public money. About $1million for 800+ children. The State also helps families with the first year of hearing aids.

For us Castle bills our insurance and we just pay the copay $60.

Implants are covered by health insurance and also medicaid.

NC is a state that really understands that it is cheaper to spend the money early instead of supporting these children when they are adults.

Nice story and great program. I wish there were more programs like Castle for other disablilties.
