Agreed, even with the 3:31, you should have no problems in the stop light gran prix...unless you come across one with the 3:71. ;)

That 5.0 is one amazing engine...lots of goodies!

As far as spring? Winter begins tomorrow, IIRC. Just keep telling yourself that the daylight hours are getting longer. :D

I was hot to buy a 370Z when the tests started coming out. Then I sat in one. At 6'3", 250, with a 34" inseam it was a no go. I could sit in the car, barely...but my head was touching the headliner, and my knees were splayed on either side of the steering wheel. Yes, I had the seat set as low & as far back as it would go.

No contest when it comes to comfort...my '09 Bullitt has it all over the Z. Even with my lowly 4.6, power feels adequate, and with my 3.73 gears instead of the standard 3.31, I should have a slight drag race edge over the 370Z.

All that said? If I was 5'10" or under, I may have gone with the 370Z...it's a great little package. Emphasis on "little".

The 3.31 is still limited slip (all ratios are in the GT). I am 6'0 and seem to fit in the car nice. There is a fair jag of plastic inside but the throttle and clutch/shifter feel good in the lane way. I'll post more pics once I get in and drive the car come spring.

I'm curious as to it's performance as most of the road tests are using the Brembo pack and different gears.

Reg, reports from Mustang boards suggest your standard brakes stopping distances will be fine. Where the Brembos shine over the standard brakes is better, longer lasting performance when brakes get hot. In other words, Brembos are better on track days only. Some avid autocrossers use smaller brakes for less unsprung weight.

I'm pretty sure you'll be enjoying the ride as the car sits. Then, after a few thousand miles, like most "car guys", you will start thinking about mods.

I've been resisting mods so far....;)

I'm already thinking about the strut brace Paul :)

BTW - what is the better Mustang board to go to? I will always enjoy reading through PPOT though.

For all Mustangs, I kinda like this one:
Ford Mustang - GT - Shelby - Cobra - Classic Mustangs

But there are tons of them out there...

My main Mustang hangout is a Bullitt board:
IMBOC - Powered by vBulletin

Another:
Mustang Forums - Powered by vBulletin

That ought to get ya started. I'm sure you'll find others, parts souces, etc. :D

Parts sites for Mustangs also abound...

Mustang Parts & Performance - American Muscle

CJ Pony Parts - Ford Mustang Parts

You'll find others by surfing the boards..

I suppose everyone just confused them for Chrysler Conquest TSi's if they didn't spell it out.

Even with it spelled out in big letters on the side - I would have someone in the car beside it in a parking lot, tell me "Nice Ferrari" as I got into it. >_<

Thank goodness nobody will denigrate my Mustang with such an insult!
