I feel like crap when I am not working.

I have become a bit of a workaholic in the last 10 years. I usually have some Iron in the fire 7 days a week, and generally work harder ( physically ) on the weekends. I find that when I have idle time, and dont get into something right away, I start to get all achy, and sore.
I sort of lounged around yesterday, and by 5 pm, I felt like poo, muscles stiff, sore back etc.., but I got up early today, and loaded 2 dump truck loads of firewood, hauled them home, and stacked them, back up to work, loaded up two more truck fulls of scrap metal, moved some cars around, shoveled out a section of driveway, and I feel like a million bucks.
I guess this is how those old guys end up dead 2 years after they retire if they don't stay active. Me, I'm never gonna stop , not till I fall down.

If you run out of stuff to do, you should head down. It's really cold today (61°). I have a huge list of honey do stuff. I like getting stuff done, and working, but I don't want to do it all of the time.

You're just weird.

People often ask me why I don't ever sit and just relax. They don't get it.

After a certain age, they say it is "better to wear out, than to rust out.."

I think older people (including me) have something in common with older cars.

As long as an old car is started up and driven every day, it will keep driving for a very, very long time. Let it sit, and it won't start again or if it will, it runs horribly.

People are the same way. Keep moving if you want to keep moving.
