Colorized Movies
Certainly you are familiar with the process where they take an old B&W flick and make it a color movie. I personally think they are a bit off-putting, don't quite look right. What do you think?

On close inspection the backgrounds are usually left in the Black / white format. Some pictures are better than others but it depends on when they were colorized.

Some of them are VERY good. I remember when they first started doing it (again) in what, the 80s or maybe 90s. The results were moderate. These days, sometimes I have to really look, and even then I'm not sure. The first color movies were, I believe, manually colored.
I like black and white, but I also like color. I guess it depends upon the movie, and how well it's done.

Personally, I just don't care for colorized movies...they just look fake.

If I remember the movie in B & W than it seems odd.

the best of them are still abortions.
bought a cheap compilation of old john ford westerns on dvd. got home and realized they'd been colorized. watch something like fort apace in black and white, then colorized, and then watch the searchers. same actors, same locations. and you'll see how inadequate it is. just leave the old movies alone.

Same here. Will just stick with them the way I first saw them.
