That's the first time I've heard of one of these pulling up to a gate at a working airport anyway.

That looks like a meatball on the side of the engine. It may be one of the 2 GE engined 787 test aircraft.

So what'd you think? The first thing that I thought about the plane aside from it's *FINALLY* in the air! was that it's amazing how quiet the thing is.

was buzzed last friday night by two of them as they were on approach to boeing field in seattle.

since GE engines are in wichita, maybe they couldn't stop there due to the storms
