big Arab?

it is thought that peoples with large noses have evolved that b/c they live in arid areas (hot deserts for the Arabs), and all very cold areas are arid b/c the cold air just cannot hold much water vapor

the big nose helps retain more water vapor - so less water loss

the big nose has nuthin' on the nasal tubercles of the Kangaroo rat of course...

Could you tell me more about this? I'm indian and have never met an Indian who would like to be called a NA.

Unless of course it's a grog blossom.



For those not familiar, grog blossom is kinda funny reading if you look it up.
Basically a big bulbous red nose sometimes accompanied by red blotches on the face from an excess intake of grog.
Ever see a total drunk with a WC Fields type of nose? that's a grog blossom.

Why not just call em by name:confused:

I'll usually use the most specific term I can - e.g. River Tribes for ones along the Columbia
