guitar question
 

The guitarist in this video is wearing a hospital-type face mask. I have not seen this technique before. I do not play guitar, just curious. Do you think he is doing this to better ensure a clean recording?

Dunno, maybe to mask his breathing?

Odd that he's using a stereo mic rather than a large-diaphragm condenser mic. He obviously knows what he's doing, though.

I do like his guitar - nice little 12-fret instrument with a slotted peg head. Boy, the thing rings like a bell. Wish I could have seen who the builder was.

Turns out the guitar is a Froggy Bottom - great instruments made carefully by hand way by Michael Millard way up in Vermont.
