Cole Clark guitars
Anybody play one of these?
I got to fool around with a Cole Clark Angel last evening. Unplugged it was pretty decent, nothing to get worked up about but I wouldn't mind owning one. Then I played it through a Roland AC-90 and Oh. My. God. It sounded so good that I thought, for a brief moment, that I actually knew how to play. Those Aussies really know something about acoustics! I couldn't get it to feedback, either. Damned impressive. I'm not normally an AE guy (both my Martin and Taylor are unwired) but I'd make an exception for a CC Angel. I had no plans of ever buying another acoustic but I think I may be forced to re-think that. Wow! |
Wait, wait: Only sounded good through an amp? I should think that any acoustic that doesn't sound great unplugged would not be worth one's time. But what do i know?

But plugged in it blew away everything. It was like there was some genius sound engineer in the signal chain. |
Throw a K&K Western Mini in your Taylor or Martin and you'll be happy. Around $85 on Ebay and easy install.

Yep,
Got a mate with a Fat Lady (the guitar not his missus). We have a regular get together - drinking session with a jamming problem. Real nice piece. Want one myself. |
