This is a World War One cemetary, lads. The Americans, sadly, arrived late in the piece, were very inexperienced, and had a very hard time of it, by all accounts.

Sorry, I missed the Cemetary label on the original picture. Yep, another of the war to end all wars.

Funny, there has been some discussion that there were actually several "World Wars" prior to WWI.
