Rats and Mice-Five Kills in one day!

I have a big piece of property with lots of wild lands. Rodents are going crazy this year. I think I found the right trail in my garage. Peanut butter and five kills on the same trap in one day! The Great White Hunter reigns supreme. Rodent stew tomorrow night for everybody!!!

Hey Hugh, we live in the canyon also. We have the whole hill side with no neighbors. I use to not like the stray cats around the house. We discovered that there are no rodents. We don't feed them, they just run around the hill. I think they must go home when they need food. We do have Coyotes, racoons, and everything else.

The first time I saw an ROUS (several years before that movie, in the back yard of a friend, not in the fire swamp) I screamed like a little girl, and ran as fast as I could. They don't scare me any more though.

A few years ago, I noticed rats coming to one of the bird feeders. I figured they had moved into the rock wall and was just getting set to place traps when suddenly...no rats. It was a bit of a mystery until I noticed the weasel in the rock wall.

Bless his little carnivorous heart.

Just to make sure you know we are all not presentable in polite society, I shot two ground hogs yesterday with my son's M1 A carbine, iron sights at about 75 yards.

My Daschund alerts me when the mice are in the area. She goes into hunter killer mode. With several mouse traps, peanut butter and a killer dog we eradicated a nest of them under our back yard storage building. Final score Daschund two Glen three, mice minus five. That was all in just a couple of hours. One desperate mouse tried to make a run for it. She nailed it and ate before I could move 10 feet. Apparently it was young and tasty, mouse veal.

a mouse (one maybe more) got into my home recently thru my opened up bathroom walls.

my cat finally caught up with it, and killed it. she gave it to my wife this morning. great cat! well, she apparently chewed up my iphone charging cord, and the cord for my work cell as well. bad cat!

my wife is smart, she told me about the mouse kill first, then told me to go and buy a few cords. YAY!!! BOOO!!

Just five, Marine? You're slipping!

Back in the 80's, when I was stationed at NAS Memphis, TN, for training, we had to clear a "condemned" barracks so we could move in to it. While removing old wall lockers and bunk beds, we captured 14 in one day, pinning them down with our feet. While one Marine held them another would run up with a closet rod and, placing it over the rat's heads, would twist the little brain buckets right off.

We even took the time to line them up in formation, covered down, largest to smallest...it WAS a Marine Corps operation, after all. Couldn't have the results looking all sloppy!

Randy, so you were giving them "enhanced interrogation"? No actually it sounds to me more like summary execution.
