Help me redesign my kitchen
 

I am in the midst of a major remodel of my house. I've added a sun room and I'm putting in a concrete patio, turning a closet into a mud room, and building a pony wall near my entry door.
I have kicked around half a dozen designs for the kitchen, but haven't settled on anything yet and I am turning to the PPOT brain trust for help/opinions. I have sketched out the "40 40 room" in my house (it's been called the 40 40 room for as long as I can remember even though it is 40x35) in an on-line drawing program that anyone should be able to access. There is a version of the room as it was and a version as it is now sans kitchen.
I would appreciate any positive suggestions as to how to redesign the kitchen given the 4 foot hallway that will enter where cabinets used to be.
