PC Died Friday Night...
And Now it lives... AGAAAAAAAIN!
I was running XP 64 and had to install a PDF printer driver. Unfortunately, BSOD'd and corrupted the XP install. Fun, right? Not really... I have a copy of Win 7 Ultimate (32/64) that has been gathering dust. "I'll install it when i buy a solid state drive." What better time than now, right? So I picked up a Kingston SSDNow V100+ 96gb drive, thing is smokin' fast with win 7. Also just overclocked the CPU to 3ghz (Intel Core 2 duo, factory is 2.4) and it's running sweet. Every cloud has a silver lining, I suppose. Now for some Starcraft 2! ![]()

So how about an honest opinion about Starcraft 2. I've heard the single player campaign is good but the primary draw seems to be multiplayer... I don't play RTS online, mostly just Dota as I prefer the teamwork/coordination/ no need for micromanaging alot of units. Do you think SC2 would be a good fit for me? I'm still on the fence about this one.

I think Starcraft 2 would be great for you. The story from the campaign is of course excellent. Too short-lived (play time) but they are of course going to release expansions.
The multiplayer is where it is at. There is SOTIS (Storm of the Imperial Soldier) which is a DOTA-like mod for SC2. That is very fast-paced from what I've seen. Normal gameplay (build a base, attack/defend, conquer) is just too much work. I prefer the fun maps like Desert Strike, Poker Defense, Left 4 Dead, etc. They really opened it up to some fun.
