Last time I was there, that's what I enjoyed most. Nothing better than seeing a road sign for Aachen.

Absolutely no way you can speed like that nowadays. There is just waaay too much traffic, even at 1am in the coldest January morning.

In fact, I don't think I've ever seen Les Champs Elysees with fairly clear traffic.

And I must disagree with the few who jokingly suggested drive to Germany. Paris is tough to beat by any standard.

It's definitely impossible to drive like that in Paris nowadays. I spent a few days there with a rental car last September and, honestly, I'd rather have been at work than on that "vacation." I've been to Paris a lot and just don't like it. Taking a car there makes it worse. Driving in the rest of France is relatively civilized, but driving in Paris blows. Driving in Germany is wonderful, total order and lawfulness. Love it.

I would agree. Head & shoulders above any other city imho.

I have been on a few very fast drives in Paris with a mad Parisian at the wheel. Not for the faint of heart. :D

Funny her rider just won a few weeks back and the anouncer mentioned something about him celebrating in Paris :eek: that got a few laughs

when i see that vid, i can't help but laugh at how bad the car noises "match" the footage.
