Watches : Anyone wear PD/ Orfina PVD Chronograph
I know there are some watch aficionado's here on the board. Im interested in the Porsche Design / Orfina PVD chronograph. Anyone here have one, is it a comfortable watch ?
My daily is a Rlx 5512, I think the PD Chrono is around 42mm so its a little bigger. I see that the PVD coating can come off which would be very difficult to replace. How are the service costs : Does it have to go to Orfina in Switzerland ? Pic of what I'm talking about & PM me if you have one F/S.

Go to timezone.com. Pretty sure there was one on there a few days ago. Check German eBay too.

Blimey that's my watch!
They are great watches and I'm very pleased with mine. The case is quite thick so it doesn't always work with cuffs, but the look and feel more than makes up for this little niggle. PVD or matt chrome can be reapplied and this can be done at Orfina in Switzerland or there are other specialists who offer the service. Superior Watch in Brooklyn are specialists and can service and overhaul as required. Service costs aren't too crazy. Certainly less than many of the other high end watches anyway. |
