I added an electric starter to my lawnmower
I broke the spring in the pull-the-cord starter. I pulled the top off and saw a big nut on the flywheel. So I thought.......what if I..........
As soon as it starts sputtering to start I pull it off. SO MUCH better this way. ![]() P.S. Someone gave me the mower for nuttin'. Yes, I'm a CSOAB.

I swear I remember something to that same effect advertised (back in the late 70's/early 80's?). Something like a rubber disk that you chucked into your drill to start the mower... I have searched and have not been able to find it though. Product liability killed it? No demand? Seems like a good idea to me!

I'm glad to see someone else do this too
![]() My mower was a free be too. Compression is pretty low, takes a bit to spin it up, once it starts works just fine. My kind of recycle and reuse. Jay

We'd have to use a cordless drill on our place.... Cords wouldn't reach it all...

Sweet! I love the concept. The modest use of Kentucky chrome on the extension cord is a tasteful plus. I hate it when inventive geniuses rely on cliche'd motifs too heavily.
