Lemmeknow if you are in the neighbourhood, oh, and if you are in the West Flanders area, try to go to Eperlecques Blockhouse , just a cross the border in st Omer France.. Well worth a visit.

You don't really need a government to function as a country and a society!

(At least, not a big and intrusive bunch of nannies....)

Stijn & Geronimo:

Genieten van je nationale dag, en bedankt voor het bier !!

Well, It's just that our governement was so big and intrusive, that they have split up in smaller big and intrusive governement.. And they usually get in eachothers ways now... But now with the federal gubmint in limbo, the other gubmints take up the slack so there is always some form of big and intrusive gubmint at work... Sad but true.

thanks and your welcome for the beer :D

Spielberg bought the movie rights and he's busy making a TinTin movie righ now, i think it's in post production now due to be released later this year.

aaaah yes, the Duvel Challenge... Drink 10 Duvels in under an hour..
It's physically impossible to drink Duvel fast enough so you have #10 down before the last brain function goes out the window... Duvel is to foamy, so you cannot simply slam it down...
And it's to potent to drink spread over the hour...
I've done 13 once , spread ove a few hours... when i was younger and dumber.. Never again...

We use Duvel (Devil) to test foreigners....

Buy a nice 911 here, tour and take it home. I’ll help.

Haven't forgotten , just haven't got the money for it.. bought the house, must now renovate it.
In this day and age, with this economy... It doesn't make sense to blow my cash on a luxury sportscar/money pit... busy doing up the roof insulation now.. That will keep me busy for this and most of next year... Then the downstairs floor will need doing, new kitchen and what not..
As long as i have Bimforce 1, i can get most of my driving urges managed.. It's a great car and it's payed for by my boss.. So the need for another RWD sports car is low..
I "might" get another 944S if i see a decent one or a real bargain for sales.. Cost is way lower then 911's and it's not a bad idea to have a spare car around, in case i lose my job and the car(not likely , but you never know.

Geronimo '74 07-21-2011 02:11 AM

Well, he was AWESOME in JCVD!!!

If you think that he can't act, you are sadly mistaken. He just starred in too many bad movies.
But I kid you not, JCVD was an eye-opener for me, GREAT movie! A bit autbiographic, sometimes dark, sometimes funny, really cool!

My Dad used to work for a company based in Belgium and spent quite a bit of time in Turnhout. He is now a big fan of Corsendonk!

jmaxwell 07-21-2011 11:30 AM

I currently work for a company HQ'd in Belgium, and we have one of your lost flags flying in front of our offices in Tulsa. Unfortunately, no celebrations, though.

Sometimes called the ugliest country in the world but at the same times it's a hidden gem, you only have to search a bit harder. Perhaps we could use this thread to post some pictures.

Close to Orval, along the Semois.
