No law would have stopped this. He's an idiot and got what he deserved. FWIW, no matter how legit or legal you are, if someone sees you carrying in a waistband, you'll be assumed to be up to no good. Only gang bangers or complete idiots carry this way and both should be put out of the carrying habit.

I saw one of the complete idiots about 5 years ago when I went to lunch at a sports bar. Four or five guys came in wearing black pants and tee shirts that said they were part of some special cop team. They were sitting at the bar eating and I noticed one of them had a semi-automatic sticking out of the back of his pants. I took a picture with my cell phone and called the cops. Turns out they really were part of some special cop detail. The uniformed guys took the dipschit outside and he came back in in a few minute without the gun. I'll bet nothing bad ever happened to him over it. They take care of their own, no matter how stupid they are.

A cop/detective I know Has never used a holster.

He carries his snub nose 38 revolver in his pants (yes some detectives still carry those down here).
He has an elastic band wrapped around the grip a couple of times to help keep it in place.
He's been a detective for over 20 years and has never shot his own penis.

Incidental... One of our Air Force pilots crashed his jet about 20 years ago.
According the the official Air Force report he blacked out because he mimicked Tom Cruise in "Top Gun" by removing his oxygen mask during a training flight.

That sounds like a belly band, which is actually a holster.

The article didn't say what kind of gun it was. I don't know how its being pink was relevant to anything. They managed to get that in there, but not the make or model of the gun. The only gun I think of that would be able to fire without close to 10 lbs. of pull on the trigger would be one with the hammer cocked back or a Glock. I hope this guy can't breed. Life is hard on stupid people.
