The 900 comes back to better home ;)

I told Shaun that when I sold it to him a few years ago that I wanted it back when he was ready to sell it.

I like that Mazda3 hatch in the driveway!

My wife just bought a Mazda 3 she really likes it. It scoots around pretty well for a 2.5 L.

Some day, when I move out of LA, I'll consider a Ducati.

Hugh, I've seen you post this several times, Not sure what living in LA really has to do with riding a motorcyle. There are some of the best riding roads right outside your driveway that don't require you to set one tire in LA......Nodody gets a Duc to ride on the freeway to LA. You could get up in the morning, take Bouquet Cyn to Spunky Cyn over to lake Hughs rd, wind around up to Frazier Park and down thru Ojai, and back to your house and not touch a lick of LA traffic. I've done different variations of this and other routes around us and seen as few as two or three cars ...I operate a motorcyle everyday in traffic. On the weekends, I get to RIDE my motorcyles on some great roads around here.

One other thing, Where we live, Every single motorcycle accident that I've seen as been the fault of the Motorcylist. Lots of very poorly or non trained people crashing.

Great Looking 900SS. I would love one of those parked next to my Paul Smart.

+1 on the SOCAL roads. I take my bike on Mulholland and adjacent canyons as a way to get out of the city, also PCH, and then to Ojay via Hwy 150, Santa Barbaba to Hwy 192, or Hwy 33 to Frazier Park, etc...
We are also blessed with the best riding weather so I love putting miles on my Beemer.
Interestingly enough the same roads I mentioned work extremely well in a Carrera... Just sayin' :D

I've always wondered about that. On the morning commute, I always hear of at least one or two highway accidents with a bike involved. That's WAY over-represented statistically speaking. Wow, are bikes that dangerous? And then some guy will lane split by me doing 40 mph over the flow of traffic. It may not be entirely his fault when someone does a lane change without signaling in front of him, but he's certainly not doing himself Darwinian favors, either.

Hi Mark, I will quote Lewis Eig, "You never Finish a 911" which is so true.

As far as paint, it looks like next spring I should have that finished because now my clutch and synchros are shot. Bummer:(

Buckterrier 08-14-2011 06:11 PM

That's awesome on the paint. Good luck with the clutch & synchros.
And yes they are never done. I am working on something new for the Carrera, hopefully have to done for the rallye, going to make it?
